Love is in the Air
Fret not if you are a few hours away from February 14 and still can’t decide where to take your date for that intimate dinner. Here’s a round-up that should make it easier to choose.

Paul Bakery and Restaurant comes forward with irresistible temptations this month. Impress your loved one with the gâteau au chocolat et banane or the meringue à la framboise.

Taking a different route is Elite Resort and Spa who will host an Arabian buffet on February 16 at the Al Noor Tent at BD20. On Valentine’s Day, at Elite Seef Residence, Il Giardino turns into an abode of romance with live entertainment, dinner and a bottle of rosé at BD25 per couple. Meanwhile, over at Elite Crystal Hotel in Juffair, their all-day dining venue, La Cascada offers a lavish buffet with a complementary drink at BD25 per couple.

Spend the evening at the Italian venue at InterContinental Regency, Medzo, and indulge in a supper set to excite your senses at BD32++ per couple including a glass of bubbly. You could also celebrate Valentine’s Day with a sizzling dinner and a glass of bubbly at Legendz SteakHouse here at BD38++ per couple.

Enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner at Mondo in the Diplomat Radisson Blu carefully put together by their chef. We hear there are oysters on the menu. Another Italian venue, Fiamma, located in Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq has a magnificent four-course meal on offer along with live music.

Kempinski Grand & Ixir picks it up a level with its five-course menu and a bottle of champagne for BD120++ per couple at the exclusive Boudoir lounge. The Mezzanine lounge offers each couple their own ‘pod’ where they’ll be served a three-course meal and a glass of sparkling wine at BD35++ per person. Mövenpick Hotel offers a remarkable romantic setting for lovers and the chance to win a trip to Beirut.

Savoy Café and Khan Al Marjan at Al Safir Hotel also go full out with musical performances on this night. The set menus at Soie and Al Safir Restaurant in Sheraton Hotel are quite enticing as well.

Rogina Restaurant at Pars International Hotel joins the fun with a twist. Here, you can indulge in authentic Lebanese cuisine and the ladies get a complimentary rose. Fuji Sushi Bar and Seafood Market patrons wait all year to see what’s on the menu on Valentine’s Day at this one-of-a-kind restaurant in Sheza Tower; 2012 seems just as promising as it always has proven to be.

Give your loved one a night to remember with the unique Bushido experience on February 14 as they guide you through a culinary journey that begins with a toast of champagne at BD35 per person. The menu at Camelot is quite alluring with items like baba soaked in kirsch with pistachio custard, griotte cherries compote and chocolate truffle for dessert. Aroma Café and Block 338 also seem to be in the mood to celebrate love. Priced at BD25++, the evening at Café Italia promises to be a treat for romantics. Join Casa Mexicana for a three-course dinner at BD25 including a welcome drink. Awash with Valentine’s Day-themed décor, Trader Vic’s has a more than a four-course set menu on offer.
