Menatelecom: Appealing to the Masses
Fast and reliable services alongside affordable prices lead to loyal and new customers, which is a business initiative that this telecom operator has followed.

Since its launch in 2003 Menatelecom, an investment subsidiary of Kuwait Finance House (Bahrain), has prided itself on offering customers Bahrain’s most powerful internet. The company was the first in the world to launch a nationwide WiMAX 802.6e end-to-end network and has quickly expanded, starting this year with eight outlets around the Kingdom for accessibility to all.

All of the standard services are offered by the company — both telephone service and broadband Internet supply fixed line or mobile services — in addition to multiple small devices to suit customers’ lifestyle needs. Additionally, Menatelecom provides free nationwide local calls between its customers as well as up to 30 per cent lower rates on international calls.

Recently, the company launched MyFi Plus, a sleek new portable Wi-Fi device, which can be taken anywhere in the Kingdom. It was designed specifically to appeal to the youth market as it allows multiple Wi-Fi enabled access to the Internet with up to five devices. Customers can link to the Wi-Fi through their laptop, BlackBerry iPad and iPhone so that they are always connected. A battery life of approximately four hours is inbuilt and it can be recharged with any USB connection.

The MyFi Plus sits alongside the Mykey range; a range of small portable mobile devices with unlimited downloads, and the Game 4G which provides a smooth connection and fast response.
