This three-day exhibition, and two-day conference session will feature specialised workshops that will tackle comprehensive topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, 5G, Blockchain, FinTech, Cybersecurity, and more. Over 700 international delegates are anticipated to join, and local, regional, and International IT companies are expected to showcase the latest in technology innovation at BITEX Exhibition. This event provides a conducive platform to bring together private and public sector decision-makers, key players, IT experts, those interested in technology, and those who are passionate about networking, building valuable partnerships, reopening, and expanding business opportunities. Beyon Connect and Bahrain’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) have signed an MoU that will see the NCSC adopt innovative digital identity and digital postbox solutions and services delivered by Beyon Connect. The NCSC is focused on building a strong cyber security framework and capability in line with the Kingdom’s efforts to ensure a safe and secure ICT infrastructure. As a result of the collaboration, Beyon Connect will deliver its recently launched innovative digital postbox solution, OneBox, to enable National secure communication between the public sector, private businesses and residents of Bahrain in one secure, convenient, and trusted digital space. Beyon Connect will also deliver its latest new product, OneID, which brings a new platform to register a unique digital identity, to interact securely with public and private sector digital services across Bahrain. Beyon Connect, which launched in January, is a subsidiary of Batelco and is focused on delivering new technologies with great innovation potential, Software-as-a-Service platforms, and advanced IT solutions to both the public and private sectors in the MENA region. The Information &eGovernment Authority (iGA) issued its foreign trade report of February 2022, encompassing data on the balance of trade, imports, exports (national origin), and re-exports. The value of imports increased by nine percent, reaching BD469 million during February 2022 compared to BD429 million for the same month of the previous year. The top ten countries accounted for 70 percent of the value of imports, with the remaining countries accounting for 30 percent. According to the report, China ranked first when it came to imports to Bahrain, with a total of BD76 million, Brazil was second with BD54 million, and Australia was third with BD45 million. The value of exports of national origin increased by 121 percent to BD417 million during February 2022, compared to BD189 million for the same month of the previous year. The top ten countries in terms of the value of exports of national origin purchased from Bahrain accounted for 75 percent of the total value, with the remaining countries accounting for 25 percent. The United States of America ranked first among countries receiving Bahraini exports of national origin, importing BD78 million from Bahrain. Meanwhile, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was second with BD65 Cutting-Edge Digital Identity Technology and Italy third with BD54 million.
