In keeping with these needs, Mr. Nair planned and classified various divisions including Power Division, Distribution Division, Cable Division, Cable Management Division, Lighting Division, Oil and Gas Division, Earthing Division and a Lightning Protection Division - each headed by qualified engineering graduates. Amad Group excelled at every challenge and obstacle, and achieved their goals through sheer hard work and determination. Understanding the aspect wherein stands the need for professional companies to supply electrical project equipment and materials for major projects, he focused his effort on evolving Amad Group of Companies. Hence, it was scaled higher to a professionally managed group with a technically qualified, competent and committed sales team to handle the various requirements of clients while generating employment for many youths. It has been a long journey of 25 years where the management team of Amad Group achieved many milestones and gradually earned their incredible success. As an industrialist, Mr. Nair his journey began in the year 2007. He started his dream project, Ascon Control WLL, a full- fledged Switchgear Manufacturing Company in Bahrain. In 2021, the factory relocated to its own premises at Al Mazraa Industrial Park, Bahrain. Ascon Control WLL Bahrain is the first switchgear manufacturing factory established by an expatriate in Bahrain - a milestone achievement. The new building premises was inaugurated by Minister of Industry and Commerce, HE Zayed R. Alzayani, and the former ambassador of the Republic of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE Piyush Srivastava. Ascon Control in Saudi Arabia became fully operational in the year 2010. Personal Life and Philanthropy Mr. Nair is immensely popular as a philanthropist in the GCC and in India. His activities are not just restricted to business, he is equally at the forefront when it comes to humanitarian efforts and avidly supports good causes. He has always been a part of social charitable causes irrespective of class, creed community and religion. He leads a simple life with his family on this beautiful island. His wife, Kala Nair, is from Mumbai Maharashtra and his daughter Dr Namrata is a university topper with gold medal from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences Kochi. His son, Vighnesh, is currently pursuing Electrical Engineering at University of Nottingham, UK. Reflecting on his life in the Kingdom, Mr. Nair says: “This beautiful island called Bahrain has given me immense fame and recognition as an entrepreneur and as a philanthropist. I genuinely thank the great rulers for providing ample opportunities to the expatriate communities in terms of employment wherein we can accomplish our dreams.
