Bahrainthismonth.com 78 August 2023 commerce In line with its aim to enhance the participation of local talent in driving sustainable economic growth in Bahrain, The Labour Fund ‘Tamkeen’ has launched Kawader – a national skills portal aimed at jobseekers, business owners and various enterprises. Initially focusing on the ICT sector, the national database will connect local talent with job opportunities in Bahrain and potential opportunities through Tamkeen’s Global Ready Talent programme. Planning is underway to expand the scope of the portal to cover other key economic sectors. Chief Executive of Tamkeen, Maha Mofeez, stated that Kawader was launched in response to the growing demand for Tech talent in the market. “Kawader will also help Bahrain’s talented tech professionals build rewarding career paths that utilize their skills, develop their talent, support their professional growth, and empower them to realize their full potential,” she adds. Individuals specialised in ICT can register on Kawader and upload their CV, while companies can post relevant tech job vacancies on the portal. The Bahrain Bosnia and Herzegovina Friendship and Business Society held a board election for the year 2023 at the Yousuf A. Wahab Al Hawaj & Sons Co. W.L.L. conference room. Jawad Yusuf Abdulwahab Alhawaj has been elected Chairman of the new board while Riyad Yusuf Ali Maki has been elected First Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Victoria Youssef Mouawad has been elected Second Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. The newly elected board member will work with the existing members to further strengthen the bilateral relations between Bahrain and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and promote cooperation in various economic, commercial and cultural fields. TAMKEEN LAUNCHES ‘KAWADER’ SKILLS PORTAL NEW BOARD ELECTION Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, has affirmed that granting the golden licence to mega projects is among the most important incentives to develop the real estate sector. The golden licence provides a wide range of privileges and benefits to investors, including streamlined access to government services. These statements were made on receiving the Managing Director of Eagle Hills Diyar and RERA Board of Directors member, Dr. Maher Al-Shaer, along with Eagle Hills Diyar Director-General, Haitham Yousif, following the government’s decision to grant the golden licence to the company. Dr. Al-Shaer praised the existing relations with government entities which seek to implement strategies that encourage local and external investments. “Initiatives such as this contributes to consolidating economic fundamentals, and creating a flexible environment that allows private sector companies to take full advantage of the privileges, which will reflect positively on economic growth,” he concludes.
