For those who are yet to visit Salalah, the Khareef season (monsoon) turns the district into a beautiful, green paradise. It was here that journalists, influencers and brand partners from across the region converged as Genesis Middle East & Africa proudly unveiled the luxury sedans. The G80 model represents the brand’s balance between tradition and innovation, showcasing its continued commitment to superior design, advanced technology, and top-tier hospitality. So, to commemorate the regional debut of the redesigned G80, the Korean luxury automotive brand hosted an immersive unveiling event. A lush green paradise, soothing rain, pure luxury and great hospitality all served as a fitting backdrop for us to discover the series’ design and technological advancements. The Unveiling Held at an exclusive, custom-designed venue, the event showcased a profound experience in a stunning setting. The evening featured the unveiling of the G80 in the Royal & Sport trims. With design enhancements and exciting features in focus, we couldn’t help but look forward to the test drive the following day. As a design-focused brand, Genesis has introduced fascinating models that embody the brand’s ‘athletic elegance’ design philosophy which is clear with the G80 too. Exploring the cars at the event at leisure, its enhancements are evident – refined details, cutting-edge technology, unparalleled comfort and style – quite literally a thing of beauty. Design and Technology Enhancements During the unveiling, the front end of the G80 made quite the impression; the exterior of the G80 features a new dual-mesh design that accentuates the sophisticated look of the Two-Line Crest Grille, while the iconic Two-Line headlamps equipped with Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology further emphasise the Korean brand’s firm focus and dedication to combining advanced technology with elegant design. The 20-inch five double-spoke wheel design contributes to a dynamic aesthetic, reminiscent of an aircraft propeller, creating harmony with the parabolic line of the car’s side profile. Rear diffusers with hidden mufflers sport a distinctive V-shaped chrome trim inspired by the Crest Grille, reflecting an eco-friendly aspect of the sedan in the age of electrification.
