Living up to the Outlander legacy, the 2023 seven-seater model which is available in nine colours has recorded soaring sales since its September launch in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Available in 2WD and 4WD options, the Outlander’s sturdy 2.5L gasoline engine produces an improved maximum power of 181/6,000 hp/rpm, providing powerful and agile acceleration. SPOTLIGHTING THE ALL-NEW MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER Toyota Gazoo Racing roared to a sensational one-two finish in a drama-filled Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain, capturing both the Hypercar drivers’ and manufacturers’ world titles in the process to cap a historic 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC). Toyota’s crew of Mike Conway, Jose Maria Lopez and Kamui Kobayashi in the #7 GR010 Hybrid led teammates Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa in their #8 car to the chequered flag. The two Toyotas each posted a total of 245 laps in all, with the #7 victors finishing 45.471 seconds ahead of the runners-up. With the result, the Buemi-Hartley-Hirakawa triumvirate came away with enough points to seal the Hypercar World Endurance Drivers Championship, ahead of the #36 Alpine Elf Team crew of Andre Negrao, Nicolas Lapierre and Matthieu Vaxiviere, who steered their A480-Gibson to third overall last night with 243 laps done. Toyota Gazoo Racing also won the Hypercar World Endurance Manufacturers’ Championship ahead of Alpine, keeping their perfect record of four wins from four editions under the eight-hour format. UNVEILING THE STUNNING NISSAN Z GT4 TOYOTA GAZOO RACING’S WIN AT BAPCO 8 HOURS OF BAHRAIN! Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motorsports and Customising Co., Ltd. (NMC) unveiled for the first time to the public, the Nissan Z GT4, based on the all-new Nissan Z, at the 2022 SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Additional information about Nissan’s global GT4 program was also revealed by Nissan Motor Co. Ltd Sports Cars Global Programme Director, Michael Carcamo. For the Nissan Z GT4’s inaugural 2023 season, Nissan/ NISMO will provide cars to pilot customer teams in the US and Japan for the SRO Pirelli GT4 America series and Super Taikyu Series, respectively. NISMO will also offer technical support. Vehicles are scheduled to be supplied from 2024, with orders being accepted from mid-2023. While developing the Nissan Z GT4, NMC’s NISMO racing division not only conducted extensive testing in Japan and the United States but also took part in select Japanese races.
