Sigi Gruber, Managing Director of SMS Technical Services Gulf, described the journey and achievements of the company, addressing the virtues of SMS’ loyalty and the outstanding technical advantages. He thanked the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, EDB Bahrain and the German Embassy for their continued support. He also showed his gratitude to his team without whom 10 years of successful business in Bahrain would not have been possible. Trophies were handed over to the most prestigious customers as an appreciation for their longstanding partnership as well as successes in the field of green steel and digitalisation. A tree planting ceremony took place to symbolize the encouraging investments in green steel and carbon-neutral technologies. SMS Technical Services Gulf opened its office in the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2012. It has transformed from the humble beginnings managing a warehouse for SULB Bahrain to the technical services Headquarters for the Gulf supporting nearly 40 customers in nine countries, including Alba, GARMCO, SULB and BALEXCO. bystander 52 February 2023
