Leen Al Faqih’s voice is particularly renowned for its patriotic songs, resonating with solidarity through her powerful and warm tone, reflecting her Palestinian identity and humanitarian message. Leen’s artistry weaves a musical blend of Eastern and Western influences, accompanied by a group of skilled musicians, achieving a unique and harmonious synergy. Her versatile vocal abilities span multiple languages, harmonising Arabic with French, Spanish rhythms and jazzy touches. This event begins at 8pm and is suitable for those 8 years and older. FOR THE LOVE OF SUSHI UNTIL FEBRUARY 29 I LOVE SUSHI ART CENTRE Well-known throughout the world as healthy, refined, and visually pleasing food, sushi epitomises washoku − Japanese cuisine, which UNESCO has inscribed on its Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Touring the world, this exhibition uses sushi, one of Japan’s most recognisable symbols, to showcase its rich and unique food culture. This exhibition is in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Japan Foundation. This exhibition can be viewed from 9am to 8pm. Entry is free for all. IN SOLIDARITY WITH PALESTINE UNTIL FEBRUARY 22 BLACK, WHITE, GREEN, RED AL BAREH ART GALLERY As watermelon remains a symbol used by numerous artists to express solidarity with Palestinians, this exhibition will highlight various formats and presentations. The artworks aim to blend artistic expression with the aspiration for a liberated Palestine. This exhibition is organised in collaboration with “Bahrain Gallery.” The exhibition can be viewed from Saturday to Thursday from 9am to 1.30pm and from 4pm to 8pm, and is suitable for those 16 years and older. Entry is free for all. DISCOVER THE CAPITAL FEBRUARY 10, 17 & 24 FROM THE POST POST OFFICE MUSEUM, MANAMA The cultural event “From the Post” returns with an aim to highlight some of the many layers of the historic capital city of Manama starting from the Post Office Museum. On every Saturday during the month of February, don’t miss out on rediscovering this port city; to learn and engage with some of its main elements, its architecture and markets, all through a variety of activities of guided walks, photography tours, workshops and music. The Dot Café will also welcome all visitors at its Post Office Museum terrace’s pop-up. This event is powered by Manama Lab. Attendance is free for all.
