Join the global celebration of this influential art form with Frankie Perez, a Dominican American artist based in both New York and Montreal, whose journey is shaped by his experiences as a world class breakdancer and image maker. Frankie’s artistic exploration, rooted in his diverse experiences, extends beyond conventional boundaries. This event is in collaboration with the United States Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain. A WAVE OF KNOWLEDGE FEBRUARY 16 TOUR: FISHERIES (AL-HADRA) QAL’AT AL BAHRAIN SITE MUSEUM As part of this year’s Spring of Culture events, you can explore the ancient art of Al-Hadra fishing, a method crafted with wooden poles and palm tree trunks. Embark on a unique journey at 7.30am, starting with breakfast at Green Bar Café followed by a kayak tour, immersing yourself in traditional fishing techniques, then completing the adventure with a visit to Nurana Island. Paweł Janas and Bartosz Kołsut, the dynamic duo known as Face2Face, redefine music genres with their passionate accordion performances. With a remarkable 60 awards from international competitions, they have captivated audiences across Poland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Great Britain, and France. From Europe to the USA, Canada, and China, Face2Face brings their exceptional talents to global festivals. Engaging in grant programmes, including those by Dongsan Research Foundation, Société Generale, and Młoda Polska, they continue to push musical boundaries with charisma and dedication. A LANDMARK CELEBRATION FEBRUARY 18 MUSEUM ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION QAL’AT AL BAHRAIN SITE MUSEUM The Qal’at Al Bahrain Site Museum celebrates the 16th anniversary of its opening with a cultural musical event featuring the renowned Mohammed Bin Faris Band which is famed for their renditions of traditional Bahraini folklore. Recognised as one of Bahrain’s most significant archaeological sites, it encompasses 4,000 years of human settlement history, inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2005.
