The announcement was made during the AFCM Annual Conference: Qatar 2024 hosted by Qatar Stock Exchange in Doha, Qatar recently. “At Bahrain Bourse, we recognise the transformative power of financial literacy as part of SDG Goal 4, as this forms a key pillar in our ESG framework and plays an overarching role in shaping more resilient and empowered communities,” says Bahrain Bourse CEO, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al-Khalifa. THE BENEFIT COMPANY AND SCW’S INNOVATE FOR BAHRAIN ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP Innovate for Bahrain (i4BH), an innovation centre led by the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) and operated by Bahrain FinTech Bay (BFB), has announced a strategic partnership with The BENEFIT Company. The partnership aims to support i4BH in delivering impactful initiatives focused on fostering innovation within startups, youth, and professionals in the Kingdom. The BENEFIT Company will support i4BH in establishing an innovation community centre at Riyadat Mall, delivering career development programmes, ideation development programmes, short courses and workshops, and various media initiatives. TAMKEEN ENHANCES CAREER DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT FOR BAHRAINIS The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) announced updates to its career development support programmes for enterprise training and leadership employment. Tamkeen unveiled updates to ensure a more robust support system for the employment and professional growth of Bahrainis. Announced late last year, this initiative aims to empower 50,000 Bahrainis annually through tailored programmes and strategic partnerships. The revamped Leadership Employment Programme introduces a new track designed to incentivise organisations to increase the wages of employees who were promoted to higher leadership or executive roles. Under this track, Tamkeen will support 100 percent of the wage increment ranging from five percent to 20 percent for a period of 24 months to Bahraini employees who meet specified criteria. “ Introducing the new leadership track and the enhanced Enterprise Training Support Programme underscores our commitment to incentivising employee growth while urging institutions to prioritise workforce development. These programmes promote employee retention, advance career prospects for national talents, and empower them to build a promising professional future,” says Tamkeen Chief Executive, Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez. Enhancements to the Enterprise Training Support Programme include comprehensive coverage for accredited certificates in specialised technical skills, leadership, or administrative skills, and internal training. Furthermore, Tamkeen will extend 50 percent support for accredited certifications related to personal and local skills development.
