As a result, the exhibition enables visitors to explore several conceivable versions of Manama, positioning the city as both a physical environment and a realm of speculation. In commemoration of World and Arab Poetry Day, coinciding March 21 each year, the legacy of the late poet Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa is remembered throughout a symposium led by Dr. Dheya Al Kaabi “Representations of Women in the Poetry of Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Dr. Rashid Najem, “Spatial Images in the Lyrical Poems of Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa”, Dr. Khalifa bin Arabi “The Emotional Presence in National Poems in the Poetry of Shaikh Isa bin Rashid”, and Dr. Fawaz Al Shurooqi “Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa’s Stance on the Poetry Movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The red blossom-shaped modern hanging artwork completes a sequence of sculptures marking the Shaikh Ebrahim Center’s 20th anniversary. The sculpture will be hanging across from the center’s hall near the Al-Nukhidhah House and symbolises a bridge between modern structures and those associated with Muharraq’s long-standing pearling traditions.
