The magnificent Philharmonia Orchestra of the United Kingdom will perform a collection of timeless masterpieces by Jean Sibelius, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Ludwig van Beethoven on the stage of the Bahrain National Theatre in its Kingdom of Bahrain debut. This contemporary performance, produced in conjunction with the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Kingdom of Bahrain, brings two popular figures from Egypt and the Arab World to Bahrain. Raya and Sakina are two personalities who have sparked conflicting reactions, with some seeing them as thugs and others seeing them as heroines against colonialism. Are you ready for a breathtaking performance by an internationally-renowned soprano opera singer? Ameera Selim is a French-based Egyptian soprano opera singer. In 2004, she received a concertist diploma from the Cairo Conservatory. She began her career as a soloist and member of the Cairo Opera. In Italy, she began vocal training and Italian music after studying piano, ballet, and painting. She won first prize at the International Orvieto Competition in Italy in 2002. Entry is free for all.
