I am honoured to serve as the Jordanian Ambassador to Bahrain, building on my extensive experience in diplomacy, governance and youth development. Previously, I was the first Secretary General of the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, strengthening ties between legislative and executive authorities. I also chaired the Parties Affairs Committee under the 2015 Political Parties Law. I have held key roles, including Minister of Youth, Advisor to the Prime Minister and board member of major economic institutions. Before my diplomatic career, I served in the Jordanian Armed Forces. I hold a Master’s in Private Law and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Jordan and Bahrain share strong historical ties. What is the current state of bilateral relations and how do you foresee their evolution in the coming years? Jordanian-Bahraini relations are built on strong, brotherly ties, strengthened by HM King Abdullah II and HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Both nations share aligned visions on regional and international issues, particularly the Palestinian cause, advocating a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as Palestine’s capital. Looking ahead, their partnership is set to grow, with increased cooperation across economic, security and cultural sectors, achieving tangible progress on the ground. What are the key areas of cooperation between Jordan and Bahrain, particularly in trade, investment and Fintech? On January 5, 2023 we held the 5th session of the JordanianBahraini Joint Higher Committee meetings in Manama, hosted by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. During this meeting many agreements were signed. Jordan this year, will host the 6th session of the JordanianBahraini Joint Higher Committee meetings in Amman. Jordan and Bahrain have strong trade and investment ties, with an increasing focus on emerging sectors. Both nations recognise the importance of innovation and digital transformation in financial services.
