While things have been picking up around the island, unfortunately, so have the number of active cases! That being said, there is some hope in the fact that over half a million citizens have been fully inoculated since the start of the vaccination drive. Does this mean there’s an end in sight to our plight in Bahrain? That being said, we’ve had a lovely Ramadan dining at some of the Kingdom’s top hospitality properties, with all safety measures in place, of course! And looking forward, we have some exciting dining options for you and your loved ones this Eid; granted that you will have to keep the new measures in mind. We also had a spectacular dining experience at the innovative fusion Japanese restaurant, Maki. There are plenty of good reasons why it’s one of our favourite dining venues on the island. In our interview section this month, we had a chat with our own prolific filmmaker extraordinaire, Danny Sokov, who recently finished filming a short film, Dajjal, in the Kingdom. In addition, we caught up with the little genius, Adam Ali Abdulhadi, a young astronomy enthusiast who will be filming an informative series with Bahrain’s National Space Science Agency. We also spoke to Faisal Juma, the Rotary Club of Bahrain’s incoming President and current Chairman of the Fundraising Committee, about the club’s upcoming virtual events and community projects. In our Motoring section, Dick Potter, had an exhilarating test drive with Ferrari and also paid tribute to the motoring legend, Sabine Schmitz. We also had Pria Masson Tanwar give us some guidance on what we could do with our e-waste. In Woman This Month, our editorial team explored some vibrant fashion for Eid. We also had the pleasure of speaking to the founder of Afkarech, Mariam Alammadi, who gave us some insight on how this group of highly-driven women have impacted society. In addition, we spoke to the artist Narmeen Albaker, about her collaborative art with her daughter at the recent Love and Inspire exhibition. We also bring you the best of beauty essentials, skincare and more! Despite the challenges that the current pandemic has presented the Kingdom with, our beautiful island continues to be as charming and eventful as ever. That being said, remember that Bahrain This Month will always be “Your Guide to a Great Way of Life”.
