MAY HAPPENINGS The French Embassy in Bahrain, with the Alliance Française de Bahreïn, is organising the Bahrain ‘FrancoFilm Festival’, which will showcase French movies or movies from French-speaking countries over four days at Epix cinema located in Dana Mall. This festival will highlight the diversity of cinematographic creation in the French-speaking world, screening films from four continents (Africa, America, Asia, Europe) with the partnership of Canada, Cameroon, France, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Switzerland and Vietnam. Most of the movies will be partly or entirely in French, but all will be shown with English subtitles. Several screenings per evening will be scheduled, at 5pm, 7pm and 9pm. The festival is totally free and open to all – cinema lovers or learners of the French language, all those curious to experience a rich and ambitious cinema programming. From drama to more entertaining movies, they all have in common an ambition to be meaningful and reflect the diversity of our changing Francophone world. A range of animation films for young people will also be screened during afternoons.
