The achievement, listed in the third edition of Deloitte’s Fast 50, also places Beyon Cyber among the top 16 fastest growing technology companies across all industry categories and the only Bahrain based company to make the list. Such accomplishments have been instrumental in ensuring the company’s high recognition by Deloitte, a global leader in cyber security consultancy.” The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 programme recognises the fastest growing technology companies in region, ranking the 50 fastest growing public or private technology companies. Deloitte reviews technology companies from a wide range of industry sectors as part of the selection process, such as software, Fintech, energy tech, EdTech, digital commerce, as well as cyber security and more. Beyon Cyber was the only company from the cyber security sector on the Fast 50 list. The Participation Banks Association of Türkiye (TKBB) and the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) conducted a business programme aimed at supporting the development and enhancement of capacity building activities in Türkiye. During the business programme held in Bahrain in April, a delegation led by TKBB Director, Fatma Çınar, and including representatives from TKBB and member banks’ training department heads, visited the BIBF premises. The delegation’s programme included BIBF’s introductory presentations, providing insights into the institute’s organisation structure, centres, training and certification programmes. Following the introductory sessions, the delegation engaged in bilateral meetings with BIBF’s Islamic Finance, Digital Transformation, and Leadership Learning Centres of the BIBF to explore potential collaboration areas. Two high-level workshops on Digital Transformation and Sustainability were also conducted. Following the programme, TKBB and BIBF held a ceremony to update the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reaffirming their commitment to cooperation in the field of training and education. BEYON CYBER RECOGNISED AS REGION’S FASTEST GROWING CYBER SECURITY COMPANY TKBB AND BIBF LEAD BUSINESS PROGRAMME TO SUPPORT CAPACITY BUILDING IN TÜRKIYE Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) announced a significant milestone towards the commercial operation of its Power Station 5 (PS 5) Block 4 Project with the First Fire of the Mitsubishi Power M701JAC Gas Turbine (GT). This achievement marks a key step towards the project’s on-schedule completion in Q4 2024. Notably, it also comes just six months after the GT unit’s delivery to site in October 2023. A celebratory ceremony was held at the Block 4 Project site, attended by high-level officials from Alba, including the Chairman of the Board, Khalid Al Rumaihi, Chief Executive Officer, Ali Al Baqali, Chief Power Officer, Amin Sultan and Alba’s Executive Management team. Alba’s Chairman, Khalid Al Rumaihi, comments: “This achievement marks the commencement of commissioning activities for Block 4 which upon completion, will set a new standard for sustainable and efficient power generation within the aluminium industry.” Alba’s CEO, Ali Al Baqali, emphasised the project’s direct alignment with Alba’s ESG Roadmap: “With the successful First Fire of the advanced Gas Turbine, Alba is now closer to achieving its goals of reducing its environmental footprint and ensuring a sustainable future for the aluminium industry.
