Organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), this annual festival includes evenings and concerts featuring the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Gulf states, the Arab world, and the rest of the world. The Kingdom is also hosting the Gulf Music and Folk Arts Festival in conjunction with the 32nd Bahrain International Music Festival in collaboration with the General Secretariat of GCC nations. A number of well-known musical ensembles from the Gulf as well as from Jordan and Morocco, will participate in the festival as guests of honour bringing their unique musical styles to the programme. As part of this year’s festival, you can enjoy a performance by the Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra’s ‘Night in Vienna’ performance at the Bahrain National Theatre. The theatre will also serve as the venue for a performance by the Saudi National Orchestra and Choir. You can also enjoy a concert, which celebrates Bahraini music, by an exclusive group of Bahraini artists, led by the renowned Ahmed Al-Jumairi, on October 20. The festival is supported by a number of embassies including the Italian, Indian, Chinese, and German embassies. The festival will take place throughout October at various locations spread across the island, details for which can be found on BACA’s website and social media.
