The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, as part of ‘The Young Artisan’ programme, will be organising a creative interactive workshop at Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre. As part of the two-hour workshop, participants will learn how to make Cold Ceramic Dough—a material used in the manufacture of ceramics, pottery, porcelain and plaster. This clay consists of a mixture of clay, adhesives and water. The origins of the use of air-dry clay in the ceramic industry date back to ancient times, where it was used to make household utensils, temples and artistic pieces. The workshop will be conducted in English and Arabic and includes all materials. The registration fee per child is BD5. Prior registration through the website is required as spaces are limited.
