January 1-15 / 6th Bahrain International Sculpture Symposium / Bahrain National Museum
Sculpture is a bold and noticeable ancient art form. Its importance throughout time has not diminished and at the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA) this art form is commemorate with an annual symposium.
This year, it will be led by the honorary head, one of Egypt’s most renowned sculptors, Adam Henein, along with more than 10 artists from Bahrain, the Arab region, Asia and Europe.
Since its inception, the symposium has attracted sculptors from around the region and the world in a unique environment of cultural exchange and creative collaboration. This edition celebrates ‘Muharraq the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018’. Upon completion, the final sculptures will be located in the historic old capital of Bahrain, Muharraq.
