With winter now on our shores, it’s time to enjoy some outside entertainment and where better than the island’s favourite seaside spot, Coral Bay?
On December 7, the team at Miami Events presents Jamaican reggae fusion artist Wayne Wonder. While his early recordings were dancehall and reggae, the artist later moved towards hip hop and rap and his most popular single No Letting Go just missed the top 10 in 2003.
He has continued to make music over the years with his most recent release being the 2014 album Sweet Songs.
Visitors can expect a great evening of entertainment with an eclectic mix from his early hits to most recent releases, guaranteeing a great atmosphere all night long.
On December 15, American hip hop artist DJ Whoo Kid makes a welcome return to the island. The DJ and producer rose to prominence alongside fellow Queens native 50 Cent and his G-Unit posse, whose freestyles he featured extensively and exclusively on his mixes. He has also remixed some of the biggest names in the business from Eminem to Tinie Tempah, 2Pac and Busta Rhymes.
He’s also the host of radio show Whoolywood Shuffle which has seen several stars join him in the studio as guest artists.
He’s a popular figure on the island having visited on several previous occasions and has built up a loyal following who’ll enjoy a night of special entertainment on the sand.
Coral Bay attracts a cosmopolitan mix of people with its waterside setting and selection of world-class dining options including Rayes, the top-quality Lebanese eatery, Fishmania and La Taverna Sul Mar, for tasty Italian.
On event nights, the atmosphere is always buzzing with the beach area lit up and sounds carrying across the water.
Tickets for the two events are BD10 for gents and BD5 for ladies, available from Coral Bay, JJ’s Irish Restaurant, Torino, Yard House and www.togetherinbahrain.com
