Empowering Bahrain's Future

Bahrain Youth City 2030 is a flagship initiative designed to inspire, empower and develop the Kingdom’s young generation through diverse training, education and skill-building opportunities, shaping future leaders and innovators.
Launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in partnership with the Labour Fund Tamkeen, Bahrain Youth City 2030 is one of the Kingdom’s most ambitious initiatives aimed at equipping young people with essential skills for the future. Introduced under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the programme nurtures talent, develops leadership qualities and prepares participants to become active contributors to Bahrain’s progress.
Held annually, Youth City offers an immersive experience for individuals aged between nine and 35, providing an extensive range of workshops, training programmes and interactive sessions. A recent edition, hosted at Exhibition World Bahrain in Zallaq, delivered more than 100 programmes and over 2,700 training opportunities across diverse fields including leadership and entrepreneurship, science and technology, arts and culture, media, entertainment and sports.
The initiative focuses not only on technical knowledge but also on personal growth. Participants are encouraged to build confidence, improve communication and develop critical thinking skills.
The experience has been praised for enhancing public speaking, teamwork and leadership abilities, highlighting its lasting impact beyond the event itself.
Youth City 2030 aligns closely with the Kingdom’s national strategy, supporting Bahrain’s Vision 2030 by fostering a skilled, innovative and empowered generation. By creating a space for young people to explore their interests and unlock their potential, the initiative plays a key role in shaping the country’s social and economic future.
The success of Youth City is made possible through strong institutional partnerships, particularly between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Tamkeen.
The initiative has also earned recognition from the United Nations for its efforts in building capacity and promoting creativity and innovation among Bahraini youth.
Bahrain Youth City 2030 continues to stand as a transformative platform, inspiring young people to dream big, develop their talents and become leaders in their fields while contributing to the Kingdom’s sustainable growth.
