Luxury Masterpiece - Concordia

The cover of our November edition captures a quiet moment where art and travel meet. The original photo, taken by Studio12’s Kiran Varghese, came to be during a photowalk led by Rasha Yousif in collaboration with Fujifilm Bahrain. It features model Sharbani Ganguly standing before Concordia, the stained-glass masterpiece by Sir Brian Clarke at Bahrain International Airport.
The installation fills the frame with vibrant colour, florals and birds in flight. Light passes through the panels and alters the mood of the space. Sharbani’s calm silhouette, in flowing traditional dress, provides a human counterpoint to the artwork’s energy. The contrast invites reflection on movement and stillness, on personal journeys within public spaces.
Our cover celebrates Bahrain as a meeting place for culture and creativity. It shows how public art can transform everyday, offering transit into a place of pause and wonder. More than an image, the photograph is an invitation to look closely at the intersections of identity, place and the small moments that shape travel.
