Honouring Heritage, Driving Growth

As Bahrain marks National Day and Accession Day, Al Arayedh Group Holding Chairman, Nasser Al Arayedh, reflects on another year of progress and its steadfast commitment to the Kingdom’s development under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s leadership.
Reflecting on the past year, Mr. Al Arayedh pointed to both strategic expansion and sustained philanthropic activity as key pillars of the group’s journey. He notes: “We have continued to build on our international presence. Kuala Lumpur has now joined our established representative offices in London, Singapore and Geneva, strengthening our ability to connect Bahrain with global opportunities.” Alongside this international outlook, the group has remained deeply rooted in the local community through wide-ranging social initiatives.
These efforts have not gone unnoticed. Mr. Al Arayedh explains: “We have supported numerous programmes that focus on families in need and on empowering youth and women, and we are proud that this work has been acknowledged by the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Capital Governorate, the Northern Governorate and other official bodies.” For the group, such recognition underscores a long-term belief that commercial success and social responsibility must go hand in hand.
He also expressed sincere appreciation for Bahrain’s ongoing transformation under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Mr. Al Arayedh says: “Bahrain’s leadership has driven real change across the country, with remarkable progress in economic, political and social spheres. We remain confident in the Kingdom’s trajectory and hope to see further prosperity and opportunity for all who call Bahrain home.”
In an evolving economic landscape, Al Arayedh Group continues to identify opportunities within the Kingdom’s most dynamic sectors. Mr. Al Arayedh explains: “Real estate and investment remain at the heart of our strategy. We are in the process of planning and developing new, innovative real estate projects that respond directly to the Kingdom’s needs.” This approach allows the group to balance solid, long-term assets with agile investment decisions attuned to regional trends.
As a family-owned company, the group recognises both the strengths and the specific challenges that this structure brings. Mr. Al Arayedh comments: “The key to continuity and success in a family business is open communication and ongoing education within the family. We make sure that each member understands the direction in which the business is heading, and we encourage them to be actively involved in implementing strategies that safeguard its future. It becomes a shared learning journey as much as a commercial one.”
Looking ahead to 2026, the group intends to deepen its international engagement whilst capitalising on opportunities within Bahrain and the wider region. “We are optimistic about the year to come,” says Mr. Al Arayedh. “Our focus is on reinforcing our position in Bahrain, while carefully expanding our regional footprint where it complements our existing strengths.” At the same time, he acknowledges that the global environment remains complex, demanding flexibility, resilience and prudent risk management.
Mr. Al Arayedh remains confident that Bahrain is well placed to assume an increasingly pivotal role in regional development. He notes: “The wider region is growing, and Bahrain is in a strong position to serve as a key player in that growth. Through our projects and initiatives, we aim to contribute meaningfully to this vision and to support the Kingdom as it seizes new opportunities.”
