Bahrain to Host Asian Youth Games 2025

Bahrain proudly welcomes Asia’s brightest young athletes as it prepares to host the 3rd Asian Youth Games in October, showcasing the Kingdom’s sporting spirit and organisational excellence.

The Kingdom has long been a strong advocate of sport and youth development, and the opportunity to welcome thousands of young athletes from across Asia marks a proud milestone in its journey as a global sporting destination.

The Games, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, will run from October 22-31 and will see more than 4,000 athletes from 45 countries competing in over 220 events across 24 sports. For many of these young men and women, it will be their first taste of international competition at this level, and for Bahrain it is a chance to demonstrate its organisational capabilities and hospitality to the continent.

Competitions will take place across 23 venues, with more than 30 training facilities also allocated to support the athletes. The Bahrain Olympic Committee and its partners have been working tirelessly to ensure the infrastructure, accommodation, transport, medical facilities and media services are all ready to deliver a seamless experience.
