Diwali in Bahrain Shines Brighter with Royal Blessings

The Indian community in Bahrain celebrated Diwali,the festival of lights, with vibrant festivities that reflected the Kingdom’s enduring spirit of unity and cultural harmony.
This year’s celebrations carried special significance with a visit from His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who conveyed warm greetings on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Highness’s participation highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to interfaith respect and inclusivity under the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. A highlight of the occasion was his visit to the residence of Mr Pambavasan Nair, a leading Indian businessman and industrialist, whose family described the moment as one of “profound significance and privilege.”
Distinguished guests included Cabinet Affairs Minister Hamad Al Malki, Political and Economic Affairs Adviser Shaikh Mohamed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Indian Ambassador Vinod Jacob, Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael Al Mubarak, alongside ambassadors from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
The celebration stood as a testament to Bahrain’s inclusive ethos, where expatriate communities are encouraged to preserve their traditions and contribute to the nation’s cultural fabric, illuminating not only homes but also the friendship between Bahrain and India.
