The unmistakable Javier Bardem, Spain’s iconic Hollywood star.
What does he do IRL?

This father of four has lived in Bahrain since 1992 and happily calls the island home. His nickname Alex was born in the early 2000s, inspired by the energetic dancing lion from Madagascar.

Spotted at?
The lobby of the Mövenpick Bahrain during their famous Saturday social brunch.

Doing what?
Enjoying the weekend buzz and prompting more than a few double takes from fellow brunch-goers.

Memorable anecdotes?
Alex says the Bardem resemblance has followed him for years.

His Spanish friends even want to take him to Spain “just to walk the streets” and watch people react. “It’s actually funny,” he laughs.

How does it feel to ‘Look-A-Like’ Javier Bardem?
“It is an honour to resemble such an amazing actor,” he says. ”I’m a big fan of his.” Alex insists the likeness is overstated, but we think he is being modest. Truthfully, after meeting him, we suspect he may actually be the better looking one.
