Redefining Luxury Mobility

Kristian Harrison travelled to Munich, Germany for IAA MOBILITY 2025 where AITO and SERES showcased their latest innovations. The launch underlined how the brands are setting their sights on the Middle East, with tailored models and technologies that promise to reshape luxury motoring across the region.

At the heart of AITO’s presentation was the unveiling of its latest global line-up – the AITO 9, AITO 7 and AITO 5. These vehicles, already certified for Middle East markets, embody the brand’s philosophy of ‘Intelligence Redefining Luxury’. Rather than relying solely on traditional benchmarks of comfort and design, AITO is pushing forward a ‘New Luxury’ code, blending performance, advanced technologies and sustainability.

The cars draw on seven pillars of innovation – Intelligent Power, Driving Assistance, Safety, Cockpit, Chassis, Services and Manufacturing – creating an elevated mobility experience. For Middle Eastern drivers, the localisation of these models is particularly notable, with features designed to handle desert terrain, high temperatures and regulatory requirements such as overspeed alerts and Arabic-language systems.

Technology that Travels Well
Supporting this ambition is SERES Power’s new generation Super Range-Extender System, revealed during the same IAA showcase. Built on the Saiyi C2E architecture and RoboREX Intelligent Control Technology, the system is quieter, more compact and highly efficient. With thermal efficiency reaching 44.8 percent and conversion rates of 3.65 kWh per litre of fuel, it is one of the most advanced mass-produced systems in the industry.

For motorists in the Middle East, where journeys often span long distances between cities, the promise of efficiency without range anxiety is particularly compelling. By reducing fuel consumption by 15 percent and noise perception by 90 percent, the technology aligns with regional priorities of both performance and comfort.

Safety and Intelligence First
Both AITO and SERES reinforced their shared belief that safety is the ultimate luxury. AITO’s models are equipped with intelligent safety systems that span life protection, power safety, cybersecurity and health protection. Meanwhile, SERES is developing distributed electric drive systems that enhance safety and driving pleasure, offering dual, triple and even four-motor configurations depending on vehicle size and performance requirements.

Localised for the Region
AITO’s Middle East-specific features highlight its commitment to localisation. Vehicles have been tested extensively in desert conditions, with improved sandproofing, optimised cooling systems and reinforced exteriors. The intelligent cockpit, meanwhile, supports trilingual interaction in Arabic, English and Chinese, while integration with local digital ecosystems ensures the cars fit seamlessly into everyday life.

Looking Ahead
With a Competence Centre in Amsterdam, a manufacturing hub in Indonesia and an expanding global network, AITO and SERES are clearly positioning themselves for sustained growth. For the Middle East, where appetite for luxury vehicles remains strong, these models mark the beginning of a new chapter in intelligent mobility.

AITO, powered by SERES innovation, is about creating an intelligent lifestyle that resonates with the expectations of a discerning Middle Eastern audience, one that values safety, performance and technology as much as comfort and design.
