Chunky, techy and surprisingly luxurious, the Maxus D90 Max is both a family SUV and a full-blown adventure machine that handles Bahrain’s streets and sand with equal swagger.

This isn’t your average crossover trying to look tough. This is a proper, full-size SUV with a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine under the bonnet that dishes out 247hp and 410Nm of torque. Translation? It moves – and surprisingly fast.

It can switch effortlessly from two-wheel to four-wheel drive, or just leave it to Auto mode to do the thinking for you.

Clever Comforts All Round
The interior? Pure lounge. Heated, ventilated and massaging seats with memory settings for both driver and passenger. A panoramic sunroof floods the cabin with natural light – or closes with a swipe.

The tech is where this Maxus truly flexes. The large central touchscreen controls nearly everything: lights, climate, tailgate, sunroof – even your seat massage style. Swipe, tap or press and the car responds like it’s reading your mind.

Then there are the party tricks: remote engine start lets you cool the cabin before you even get in, and the hands-free tailgate opens with a simple sensor swipe under the bumper – perfect when your hands are full. Even better, you can adjust the opening height angle to suit your space (or your garage ceiling).

Drive It Like You Mean It
For a big SUV, the D90 Max doesn’t feel like you’re steering a boat. Parking in tight spots? Easy, thanks to the 360° camera system. It glides through city traffic and handles Bahrain’s highways like a champ, with enough torque to feel responsive when you want to overtake. Yet despite all its ruggedness, it never stops being comfortable.

More Than Maxed Out
Ultimately, the Maxus D90 Max is the SUV you didn’t know you needed. It’s smart, strong, stylish – and packed with features you’ll actually use. Whether it’s family errands or weekend adventures, this car does both without breaking a sweat.
