Russian Embassy in Bahrain Honors Ahlam Janahi for Leadership in Women’s Economic Forum

Her Excellency Mrs. Ahlam Janahi Receives Certificate of Appreciation at the Russian Embassy in Bahrain On May 29, 2025, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Bahrain held a ceremony to honor Mrs. Ahlam Janahi, Founding Member, Advisor, and former President of the Bahrain Businesswomen's Society. His Excellency Dr Alexey Skosyrev , Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, presented the certificate of appreciation on behalf of His Excellency Mr. Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, in recognition of Ms. Ahlam Janahi's contributions and significant role in organizing the World Women's Economic Forum and Exhibition in Manama (January 15–16, 2025). The Russian delegation, headed by Her Excellency Galina Karilova, First Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Federal Organization, Regional Policy, Local Government, and Arctic Affairs, participated in the event.
His Excellency Ambassador Dr.Alexey Skosyrev praised Mrs. Janahi's role in organizing and holding official meetings on the sidelines of the forum for the Russian delegation during their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The delegation conveyed their positive impressions to the Russian Presidential Office and praised the distinguished role of the society and its standing in various countries around the world.
On this occasion, Mrs. Ahlam Janahi expressed her gratitude to His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Alexei Skosorev, the attendees, the Society's Board of members , and its affiliates for their continued support. She emphasized the importance of continuing to strengthen the economic and trade partnership between Bahrain and Russia in various fields.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Shaikh Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa, Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic and Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce; His Excellency Hassan Abdullah Al Madani, Deputy Governor of the Capital Governorate; His Excellency Ambassador Yousef Ahmed Abdullah, Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Yousef Yaqoub Lori, Director of the Information and Follow-up Department at the Capital Governorate; and members of the Society's Board of members.
Mrs. Ahlam Janahi organized numerous bilateral meetings between official bodies and Russian trade delegations headed by her Excellency Galina kareloca during their visits to Bahrain. These included important meetings between the delegation and senior officials in the Kingdom of Bahrain, including meetings with the Speakers of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, the CEO of the National Health Regulatory Authority, and the Economic Development Board. These meetings significantly facilitated discussions on prospects for cooperation between our two countries in various fields. Several memoranda of understanding were signed between the Bahraini Businesswomen's Society and businesswomen's associations and organizations over a period of several years.
