Swiss bank, Julius Baer, has appointed Jonathan (Jonty) Crosse as Chairman of the Board of Julius Baer (Bahrain) BSC. Jonty has been an integral part of the business for 32 years and announced his retirement at the end of August 2019. He will now operate as an external member of the Board of Directors of Julius Baer (Bahrain) BSC as chairman.
He says: “I have amazing memories of my time in the financial wealth management industry and was especially proud of the transition [of business from Merrill Lynch] over to Julius Baer in 2013. The bank has a reputable global franchise with robust operations in the GCC. With our Next Generation investment philosophy and the innovations coming our clients’ way, combined with our sponsorship of Formula E, I am delighted that as Chairman of the Board of Julius Baer (Bahrain) BSC, not only can I assist in the continued dynamic growth of our operations in Bahrain, but also maintain a strong connection with the Kingdom.”
