Dr Mohammed Al-Jabri, CEO of the United Gulf Industrial Corporation, has announced a project to construct the world’s tallest residential tower in Bahrain as part of a unified Gulf project. The iconic structure will be 385 metres in height and will comprise five-star serviced apartments and malls within its expanse as well as the largest advertising display screen ever seen to date. The building is also believed to be entered in the Guinness Book of World Records. This announcement was made on the sidelines of Business Development Forum and Expo (BDFEX-2019), where it was confirmed that the main designs of the project have been completed. Eightyfive per cent of the project’s financing has been arranged, while the remaining portion will be secured when suitable land is provided either by the partnership with investors or by the government.
