As the weather cools, it’s time to welcome back the Gulf Hotel’s legendary poolside celebration, The Gulf Night Out. Running every Tuesday, it includes a selection of cuisines from 10 fine-dining outlets as well as live cooking stations, a barbecue and live music from a Cuban band, a Bahraini band and a belly dancer. The evening costs BD19++ and the buffet starts from 8pm. Tuesday is also ladies’ night with 50 per cent off food and beverages.
Every Friday is the Gulf Grand Brunch with a special kids’ corner, live entertainment, a huge buffet selection and much more. You can choose to enjoy the ambience in either romantic La Pergola, lively Margarita Mexicana, or Al Waha, where you’ll enjoy tunes from the house band QBA. Brunch is priced at BD32 inclusive of selected beverages with special group offers.
If you want to learn how to cook some of the exquisite dishes you’ll find at these events, look no further than the regular Saturday cooking classes from 10.30am to noon with a different chef each week. Sessions cost BD18 including lunch. Or learn to create fabulous beverages with mixologist Maxime Hoerth, of the Bar du Bristol, from November 9 to 13.
Rounding off a busy month, from November 21 to 24 there is a Lebanese Food Festival with a set menu at Zahle restaurant featuring a renowned chef from Lebanon and a Dabka band. And for all the rockers out there, on November 23 and 24 Sherlock Holmes plays host to tribute band Bon Giovi. The Thursday night performance costs BD5 in advance or BD7 on the night and the Friday pub brunch is BD20 in advance or BD25 on the day.
