A Turkish Escapade

This hotel takes you to the world of the Ottomans for an evening full of rich Turkish tradition.

The ever-popular Turkish Festival continues in January 2018, promising visitors a peek into traditional Turkish culture. The event, which takes place at the Mercure Grand Hotel Seef, will include folk performances, delicious culinary delights and much more.

Touted to be one of the most distinctive in the world, Turkish culture has had an impact on life from China to Vienna and from the realms of Russia to North Africa for many centuries.

The 6th Turkish festival — that runs from January 19-25 — is staged at Neyran, Mercure Grand Hotel Seef’s signature restaurant. Guests and visitors can partake in Turkish festivities from 8pm until midnight. Neyran is the perfect platform for the festival, with its charmingly rustic décor that lends it the feel of an idyllic bistro somewhere in the heart of the Mediterranean.

The hotel invites patrons to discover the allure of Turkey, its vivid ethnicity, great history, heritage and hospitality through this dazzling festival.

There will be a wide array of dishes prepared by well-known chefs specially flown in from Istanbul. Guests can look forward to a fusion of central Asian, Caucasian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and Balkan cuisine.

To keep guests entertained, the festival features various live shows as well as programmes of art and music performed by Turkish artists.

“I urge members of the community to grab this opportunity and discover the various regions of Turkey without leaving Bahrain,” says Ahmed Hishma, director of sales and marketing at Mercure Seef.

Run by French multinational corporation Accor Hotels, Mercure Hotels stands by the slogan ‘In Harmony with People and Places’.

The Mercure Grand Hotel Seef is an all-suite hotel ideally located in the Seef district, the heart of Manama and the business and shopping centre of the Kingdom, ideal for business and leisure travellers alike.
