Akaya Bistro - A Classy Curation

Akaya is the new dining venue on Adliya’s Block 338 that’s making foodies sit up and take notice.

Akaya is inspired by the Izakayas of Tokyo, which are an intrinsic part of Japan’s gastronomic culture. The restaurant is an original concept created exclusively for Bahrain by its founder, Chirag Patel.

The contemporary, urbane hangout is an ode to the minimalist architecture of the Land of the Rising Sun, and is the perfect venue to unwind with friends to enjoy signature beverages and a Japanese tapas menu.

Diners have three seating options: outdoor in the Zen Garden, which is fully air-conditioned for the summer; or indoors, either at the Travertino Room or the Janguru Lounge.

A one-of-a-kind, hand-painted mural of Akaya’s spirit animal, the tiger, is splayed across the interiors of the Janguru Lounge, bringing the space to life. This is an ideal spot for sampling Akaya’s beverages that are hand-crafted by the talented team of mixologists.

The menu consists of Japanese staples, like Karaage and crab maki, as well as some dishes you might not have ever tasted before. Diners can choose from sharing platters, salads, flat breads, grilled delicacies, Buddha bowls, accompaniments and desserts.

The restaurant has an unbeatable offer exclusively for readers of Bahrain This Month. Mention the code ‘AKAYABTM’ when paying your bill to get a 15 per cent discount on all days except Thursday and Friday.

The restaurant is open from 5pm till late and remains closed on Sundays.
