Newly renovated The K Lounge offers a light, welcoming setting, great food and live music.
The K Lounge has recently been renewed to display a luxurious style and design. Considered to be one of the best lounges in town, this venue has increased its bar stool capacity by four times, making it the longest bar in town.
Light luxe fabrics and pale wood furniture are complemented by a whole wall of windows giving the place a much brighter and friendlier atmosphere – which is in keeping with the welcoming staff and relaxed vibe.
Choose high bar-style seating for after work drinks and bar bites with friends; discreet sofa and chairs combos if you prefer a little more laidback comfort; or grab one of the standard tables if you’re in the mood for a full dining experience – which is definitely worth a try.
The renovation of the outlet has given it a relaxed, social atmosphere, helping guests to mingle at the lounge while they listen to the fantastic jazz band performing live. Regular Jazz Nights are organised, much to the delight of fans of this music genre.
Patrons of the lounge can enjoy signature cocktails and delectable food. The menu too has had an upgrade under the watchful eye of world master chef Nitai. With a menu specially designed for the lounge, diners get great value for money for the excellent food and drinks that they order. Popular crowd pleasers include the watercress and asparagus soup; Moroccan lamb tagine; the half-braised baby chicken with crusty risotto cake; salmon with spinach puree and tomato infused braised lentils with crushed garlic; and creamy baked lobster with mushrooms, a trio of cheeses and herbed rice. Add to this a full list of steaks, including fillet mignon and chateaubriand, and it soon becomes clear that this is a lounge that thinks it’s an à la carte restaurant – and a rather good one at that.
What guests will immediately notice at The K Lounge is the skilled staff. The cocktails and beverages are shaken and stirred by talented bartenders, while the professionally-trained service staff is friendly and courteous at all times.
Head round to the far side and you will find a range of TVs, where you can watch your favourite sporting action, a lively, chatty atmosphere with locals and visitors alike gathering at the bar and a tuneful musical duo giving the place a classy musical boost.
All in all, the new face of the K lounge is a smiling one. The bar feels welcoming, the chairs are squishy-comfy, the staff friendly and knowledgeable and the prices reasonable. With all this, right in the heart of one of the Kingdom’s most buzzing areas it would be hard to find a better start to the weekend or any other night out.
