The elegant and inviting Swiss-Café restaurant at the Swiss-Belhotel Seef has reintroduced its famous cheese fondue.
A traditional winter dish from Switzerland, chef Holger’s version of this delicious recipe will leave you wanting it all year long. The warm goodness consists of at least two varieties of cheese, melted with fermented grape juice. It is served to share, bringing families and friends together.
Also available is the Fondue Bourguignonne – cubes of tenderloin, zucchini, eggplant and peppers are deep fried in hot oil at the table. Meat lovers will also appreciate the Chinese Fondue, involving slices of tenderloin, veal fillet, chicken breast, prawns and salmon. Both these options come with a side of either French fries or fried rice, plus pickles, vegetables, your choice of sauces and dips such as horseradish, grain mustard, Cumberland, chilli, curry, yoghurt or tomato.
The daily fondue promotion is valid until March 2018 and is priced at BD14.500 per person including soft beverages. The order must be placed at least 24 hours in advance. Swiss-Café’s two-course buffet Business Lunch is a perfect option for a quick, light meal with colleagues or clients, available from Sunday to Thursday for BD5.500 per person.
The Friday Family Lunch features a crepes and waffles station in the special kids’ corner of the buffet, while adults can enjoy fresh seafood, a wide selection of mains and sinful desserts for only BD12 including soft beverages, on Fridays and Saturdays. With every two paying adults, one child under 12 years eats for free.
