Lumee Street Café

Jackpot! If there was an Aladdin’s cave of food it would be Lumee at Al Aali Shopping Complex, in Seef.
‘Lumee’ is Bahraini slang for ‘lemons or limes’ and denotes a fullness of taste that will make your mouth water.

The vast menu includes tantalising breakfast; classic cold and hot sharing plates; Lumee salads; Pita Toasties (white or brown pita bread with root vegetable crisps); Charcoal Grilled Cheese (with root vegetable crisps); fatayer fresh from the oven; Street Grills (incredibly charcoal grilled and tucked in fresh flatbread plus choice of side salad); meat dishes galore; poultry dishes – divine; seafood out of this world; choice of garden-fresh vegetables; a wide range of side dishes; as well as cakes and desserts that will have you going back for more.

Drinks are equally impressive, including cold pressed juices from vegetables and fruit; fresh Laban Shakes that will make you quiver; Sharbat Lumee (lemonades to quench any thirst); and fresh fruit and vegetable juices to meet almost any desire.

Lumee is located on the ground floor of the mall, in a market-style courtyard with traditional cloths fluttering gently at roof height. It can seat over 70 patrons, has abundant car parking and the kitchen is visible to all guests. The staff are prompt, pleasant and courteous, and the food is absolutely stunning.
It opens daily from 8.30am to 11.30pm.
