Throughout the long, hot summer months, the talented chefs at Maki have been hard at work devising an array of exciting new dishes to mark the beginning of fall.
From the same celebrated menu that has produced legendary gourmet delights such as Fusion Temaki, Azayaka Shake (salmon) Sashimi, and Creamy Lobster tail, comes a sumptuous selection of cool maki rolls. Perfect for the more temperate autumnal months, these rolls are served at a cooler temperature and comprise exciting new food pairings aimed to tease the palate and invoke a tantalising culinary experience of the most delicious kind.
Furthermore, several of these gastronomic gems are also namesake dishes—such as the Dr Tarazi Maki, which has been created in honour of a very dear patron of the restaurant. Guaranteed to woo the taste buds and quench the palate, this perfectly-balanced maki roll includes the freshest of ingredients such as salmon, crabsticks, avocado, cucumber, horseradish cream, yuzu, fresh wasabi, lemon, brown rice, Caviaroli and cress—all of which are served inside a delectable house-made tomato wrap.
Another inspirational recipe named after a loyal Maki fan is the Gabi Maki—an exclusive olive wrap boasting a combination of supreme ingredients such as tuna, crabsticks, avocado, cucumber, tobiko, cress, wasabi nori flakes, pari pari, teriyaki, sesame and exquisite black truffle pearls.
Last, but not least, is the Oliver Bezri Maki. Inspired by a timeless Maki guest-favourite—the Oliver Temaki—this new maki roll features bezri, salmon, crabstick, avocado, Ikura, thyme, rocket, iceberg lettuce, Caviaroli and, of course, flavoursome togarashi spices.
