An exciting new offering from Al Abraaj Restaurants Group, San Carlo Cicchetti, has recently opened its doors.
The Al Abraaj Restaurants Group introduces the popular UK-based Italian sharing concept, San Carlo Cicchetti, to Bahrain. The restaurant is part of the award-winning San Carlo Group, which has brought London favourites, like Signor Sassi, to food aficionados.
San Carlo Cicchetti (pronounced chi-KET-tee) reinterprets the delightful Venetian culinary custom of cicchetti – delicious small plate dishes to share with friends and family. Known to be somewhat of a celebrity haunt throughout the UK, the eatery has become a staple for authentic, Italian food that tastes great.
Located at Al Aali Complex in the Seef district, the restaurant has a sophisticated yet relaxing interior, with an emphasis on light colours alongside large expanses of white Italian marble clad with brass accents and lush greenery. The restaurant is set over two floors and can seat approximately 170 guests at a time.
The menu philosophy at San Carlo Cicchetti is to use only the finest and freshest seasonal ingredients, many of which are flown in from produce markets across Italy to ensure authenticity. The concept of cicchetti, a first to the Kingdom, encourages guests to sample and share multiple dishes between groups in order to experience a little bit of everything – from antipasti and salads to fresh pasta, pizza and grills.
