Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay has announced the appointment of Hyung Gyu Kim as executive chef, overseeing Bahrain Bay Kitchen, Bay View Lounge, in-room dining and all of the hotel’s events and catering operations. He will also be involved in an exciting lounge project, set to be unveiled this summer. He joins with more than 10 years of experience working at some of the finest restaurants in the world.
A seasoned chef, Hyung Gyu learned the ropes at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu London. He then proceeded to work in the kitchens of the Corinthia Hotel and Jumeirah Hotel in London. Originally from Korea, he had always wanted to explore the world and learn new dishes and cooking techniques. He says: “Bahrain has beautiful fresh produce.
My aim is to introduce the extraordinary culinary culture of Bahrain to all of our international guests.” Chef Kim brings an inspiring drive with him. His curiosity for exploring new flavours and determination to work with fresh local produce will result in presenting guests the best possible dining experiences.
