Raising the Standard

This year, the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa has stepped up the celebrations for The Holy Month, with a more lavish Iftar buffet and a beautiful Ramadan-themed décor.

The Al Fanar Ballroom of the newly refurbished Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa is all set to usher in Ramadan in style and sophistication. Executive sous chef Younis Ramadhn, a Bahraini national who has been with the establishment for 11 years, is excited to oversee all the preparations. He is certain that guests will be bowled over with the plethora of culinary choices.

He says: “We have increased the variety and quantity of food for Iftar this year. Guests can enjoy 30 to 35 types of salads. For the first time, we will be having Indian-, Mexican- and Asian-themed stations every night.”
The spread is sure to have something for everyone, besides crowd-pleasing Ramadan delicacies. “Typical Bahraini food such as Ouzi, Thareed, Harees, Kebab Bahraini and Shawarma will be laid out, in addition to other Arabic specialities,” adds chef Younis.

Beverages made especially for Ramadan, including Kamaridine and Karkade, will be part of six thirst-quenching drinks on offer. As per chef Younis, the beverages will give the whole ambience more colour and vibrancy in the summer season.

The property can host large gatherings to accommodate up to 1,000 guests at the majestic Grand Ambassador Ballroom. Ghabga nights can be arranged with prior booking, and guests can rest assured that the staff will go all out to make their event a great success. Group discounts are available, and the menu can be selected as per clients’ tastes and budget.
