Founded in 1961, St Christopher’s has played a key role in recognising the importance of interweaving the rich heritage of the UK with that of Bahrain.
During the past 57 years, the school has been proud to offer a consistently excellent record of academic success, alongside a fine programme of extracurricular activities and personal development opportunities, available to students and educators across the Kingdom.
As a ‘not for profit’ school, all income from fees is used to run and further develop the school for students’ benefit. This academic year the Board of Governors has approved the launch of the inaugural International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Scholarship Programme. Open to students currently in Year 11 of the British system or equivalent, these scholarships will recognise outstanding academic ability, while aiming to successfully prepare exceptional young people for the next stage in their lives.
St Christopher’s Sixth Form students are able to thrive both academically and socially, going on to study for degrees at some of the most prestigious universities around the world, including Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Stanford, Yale, Toronto, MIT and many other Russell Group and Ivy League institutions.
Scholarship candidates will benefit from the school’s experienced teachers, specialist tutorial system, subject expertise and individual support, enabling students with exceptional academic ability to achieve their full potential, in an innovative, supportive and exciting learning environment.
St Christopher’s has developed into an internationally renowned establishment, hosting more than 2,100 students from 60-plus nationalities. The school is consistently rated “Outstanding” under the British Schools Overseas inspection regime; British Schools in the Middle East and the Kingdom’s own BQA, and it looks forward to continuing to provide exceptional education to children across the Kingdom.
