The British School of Bahrain (BSB) is one of the five ‘Outstanding Schools’ in Bahrain as per the report of the Directorate of Private Schools and Kindergartens (DPS) Reviews.
The 12-member DPS team observed lessons and other activities, scrutinised students’ written work and analysed the school’s performance data and other documents. Members met with staff, students and parents. Exceptionally effective systems are in place for monitoring the school’s performance, especially in respect of student achievement.
The British School of Bahrain follows the National Curriculum of the United Kingdom, with some adaptations to reflect the local historical, cultural and physical features of Bahrain. The BSB-UK curriculum is designed to ensure that the students develop the knowledge, skills and understanding to be confident, successful and independent members of society.
Through the visionary ownership of the Inspired Education Group, a leading global premium schools group operating on five continents and educating over 38,000 students, and a supportive board of trustees, the aim is to continuously develop BSB. This is done through embracing technological advances, the latest educational research, diverse and effective teaching and learning strategies, empowerment of students through structured learning, active student voices and the best possible British international curriculum delivered by appropriately qualified and experienced professionals.
BSB values academic excellence and provides a learning environment in which all of the students can achieve their personal best, according to their abilities and talents.
