Verdict: A hilarious app for those with a dodgy bladder.
What is it?
The RunPee app exists to improve your movie-going experience. The database is updated weekly, whenever wide-release films open in cinemas, to tell you the best times to run and pee without missing the best scenes. The app provides a synopsis for what you’ve missed, so you will know exactly what went on while you were gone.
It’s safe to say that this is the only app of its kind in the world. It has 1,300 movies in its database and more are added every week with new releases. The built-in timer will alert you, by discreet vibration, when a Peetime is coming so you don’t have to worry about bothering the people around you in the cinema.
The only negative is that your bathroom breaks are pre-determined, so if you don’t need to go but your ‘slot’ during the movie comes, you might decide to stay in your seat but then end up needing to go soon after.
There are plenty of travel apps out there that’ll help you plan your itinerary, book your flights, find you a hotel, etc. But where Skiplagged is different is that it searches a little-known area of bookings called ‘Hidden City’ flights. Essentially, these are flights that can be booked more inexpensively than normal because they occur as layovers to other destinations. It’s a complicated process, but basically, Skiplagged sifts through all the possible combinations in order to get users the cheapest flights possible.
