Apps Review - November 2018

BTM brings you the low-down on the latest and greatest apps on the market.

Verdict: A bright and breezy weather app.

What is it?
A weather app that packs a ton of information, such as the current conditions, temperature (and whether it’s rising or falling), wind speed and direction, humidity, barometric pressure and visibility.
A variety of charts and, most niftily of all, a fully animated weather globe shows the severity of various weather conditions and a brief sentence lets you know what type and to what degree a certain type of weather will be coming within the next hour. A few simple clicks will take you to any city in the world.

The Good
It’s a beautiful app, stunningly designed and one that fits in perfectly with the design aesthetics of iOS. Everything about the app just works smoothly and intuitively, and the 3D-globe radar map is a stunning way to convey weather information.

 The Bad
It’s a tough ask to pay for a weather app when there’s already one built in with the iPhone. There’s also a limitation on forecast data and the app provides few details further than an hour or so ahead; this is very much a ‘here and now’ weather app.
