The Domain Hotel and Spa is all set to revive your senses with a host of sensational new additions to its spa and wellness treatments at Vie Lifestyle Lounge. A new therapy called Vie Vitality combines five different massage practices in one and is the star on the latest menu.
Thai, Swedish, Lomi Lomi, aromatherapy and reiki massage techniques are combined for ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation. Heated pillows filled with volcanic rock are placed on the back, neck and shoulders to promote blood circulation and oxygenation.
“It has three times the benefit of ordinary massages,” says spa manager Ferdinand L Taaca. Reflexology, a couple’s massage and a relaxation treatment are also on offer.
A new product named La Vallée from Switzerland, which combines technique, science and organics for quick results, is now used for facials. Vie Lifestyle Lounge will be the first facility in Bahrain to use these products and act as an ambassador for the brand.
“There are stem cells in the items, which penetrate deeper layers of the skin to reverse ageing and dermal damage,” says Ferdinand. “The cosmetics can also be used as part of your homecare routine.”
The Caviar Facial treatment offers a powerful high-tech formula owing to the golden microspheres of caviar extract and vitamin E. The skin is instantly lifted, plumped and firmed, regaining radiance.
La Vallée also has a Pink Body Wrap with unique moisturising properties for soft and smooth skin. Another unique feature of Vie Lifestyle Lab is the Iyashi dome, an ingenious product of Japanese technology that stimulates the body’s natural defences with infrared to draw out toxins and impurities.
“The advantages range from cell regeneration to burning 600 calories,” adds Ferdinand. “With just one session, you lose 1.5 litres of toxins, so it’s a great way to shed weight quickly and safely before an occasion. For full slimming effects, we recommend using it every three days till the desired results are achieved. Usually, a big difference can be seen after 10 sessions.”
Ferdinand recently bagged the title of Best Spa Manager in the World Luxury Spa Awards 2017, while the hotel won the Best Luxury Urban Escape category.
