A giant Oreo biscuit, weighing in at a massive 73.5kg, earned Mondelez Bahrain Biscuits a Guinness World Record for the largest ever cream-filled biscuit.
The previous record-holder was baked in 2011 and weighed 28.24kg. The record-breaking Oreo cookie was proudly made by the Bahrain team using Oreo’s regular dough and cream. It boasted a diameter of 74cm and a thickness of 15cm.
The official record-breaking attempt, which was certified by Guinness World Records officials, was planned to coincide with the official inauguration of the Kingdom’s USD90 million, state-of-the-art Mondelez International biscuit factory, which has a production capacity of 45,000 tons per year, producing iconic Power Brands, including Oreo cookies and Barni soft cakes.
