Thai Development

A Thai-themed shopping centre, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, is coming to Bahrain with the signing of a leasing and operation agreement between Dragon City and Vega Intertrade and Exhibitions.

Set in the southwest corner of Diyar Al Muharraq on a 6,000sq/m area next to Dragon City, ThaiMart will offer both local consumers and tourists products that are exclusively imported directly from Thailand. With the soft opening of the mart expected to take place in the first half of 2019, it is set to revolutionise the Oriental goods industry in the Kingdom with the vast array of retail opportunities it will provide.

The project design is infused with Thai architectural and cultural aspects, in a layout which will incorporate approximately 150 individual retail store spaces, with a spacious parking lot for customer vehicles.

Signing of the Agreement took place at the Diyar Al Muharraq HQ by Dr Maher Al Shaer, MD of Dragon City, and Akavut Tangsilikusonwong, MD of Vega Intertrade and Exhibitions, under the patronage of Thai Ambassador, HE Thanis Na Songkhla.

ThaiMart will offer a variety of Thai products such as food items, beauty products, garments, perfumes, handcrafts and home decorations.
