With a growing market share, sales volume and presence through industry recognition at the Middle East Car of the Year Awards 2019, Renault Middle East has a positive outlook for the coming year.
The first quarter results showcased the company achieving 3.54 per cent market share in the Middle East, a growth of +0.53 points on the same period in 2018. This saw Renault achieve a sales volume increase of 23 per cent when compared to Q1 last year, in an overall car market slightly growing by four per cent.
The main contributor to this growth in the GCC is the all-new Duster, which saw a 100 per cent increase in sales volumes compared to the previous model over the same period last year.
As the world’s leading car brands took centre stage at the sixth edition of the Middle East Car of the Year (MECOTY) awards, Renault Middle East made swift wins across multiple award categories. The highlight of the night was the all-new Renault Duster that won the prestigious MECOTY Public Award, claiming over 20 per cent of the 80,000+ votes received from around the world.
